Dr Dinesh Khanna, MD, MSc, is an Professor of Medicine and Director, University of Michigan Scleroderma Program. Dr. Khanna has published over 300 peer-reviewed articles and book chapters. He is the international coordinating principal investigator for ongoing phase 2 and phase 3 trials including Riociguat, Abatacept, Tocilizumab, and scleroderma lung study-3. His current research focus on developing, validating, and refining outcome measures in Rheumatic diseases and designing controlled trials, including defining a composite index in early scleroderma. He received the 2011 "Doctor of the Year" award from the Scleroderma Foundation and 2015 Henry Kunkel Young Investigator Award from the American College of Rheumatology.

Professor Denton studied medicine at Guy’s Hospital in London and obtained a PhDfrom University College London and trained in connective tissue diseases in London.Following a Wellcome Trust Advanced Fellowship in molecular genetics at the M.D.Anderson Cancer Center in Houston, USA he was an Arthritis Research UK Senior, Research Fellow 2000-2010. He is Professor of Experimental Rheumatology at UCL anda consultant Rheumatologist at the Royal Free Hospital in London. He has publishedextensively on laboratory and clinical aspects of connective tissue disease.He leads a large clinical and translational research programme in scleroderma at theRoyal Free Hospital and co-ordinates multidisciplinary care for more than 1500 patients.He currently chairs the UK Scleroderma Study Group (UKSSG). He delivered the BSRHeberden Round at Rheumatology 2017.

Dr. Mohit Kapoor is the Director of Research for the Arthritis Research Program (University Health Network)—the largest multi-disciplinary arthritis research program in Canada—where he is directing basic, clinical and translational research in arthritis. He is also a Senior Scientist at the Krembil Research Institute and Director of Joint Restoration Therapeutics within the Arthritis Program, Toronto Western Hospital.

His research is focused on (1) understanding the mechanisms associated with the inflammatory and fibrotic processes during rheumatic diseases such as sclerodermaand osteoarthritis; and (2) Identifying new therapeutic strategies to counteract inflammation and tissue fibrosis. Dr. Kapoor is a recipient of several merit and research awards from various national and international organizations including the European League Against Rheumatism, The European Society for Clinical and Economic Aspects of Osteoporosis, Osteoarthritis and Musculoskeletal Diseases (ESCEO), The Fonds de recherche du Québec – Santé (FRQS), Japan College of Rheumatology (JCR) etc. His research program is funded by the Canadian Institute of Health Research, The Natural Sciences and Engineering Research Council of Canada (NSERC), Stem Cell Network (SCN), Ontario Research Funds (ORF), Canada Foundation for Innovation (CFI),Krembil Foundation etc. He sits on the board of various national and international research and funding organizations. Dr. Kapoor’s research work has been published in variousprestigious peer-reviewed journals such as Nature Medicine, Nature Reviews Rheumatology, Science Translational Medicine, Annals of The Rheumatic Diseases etc.

DrHaroon is a clinician scientist at the Toronto Western Hospital and Krembil Research Institute. His area of research includes predicting Radiographic progression, identifying novel therapeutic targets and understanding the Immunology and genetic basis of Ankylosing Spondylitis pathogenesis. He is well published in this area and has been an invited speaker in several international meetings. Dr. Haroon has won several awards including the Canadian Rheumatology Association young investigator award and the Jane Bruckel Award of the Spondylitis Association of America.

Professor of Rheumatology at University of Queensland, Translational Research Institute, consultant rheumatologist at Princess Alexandra Hospital and fellow of the Australian Academy of Health and Medical Sciences.

Her research seeks to understand Autoimmune disease and restoration of Immune tolerance. Through this work, she developed and tested the first Rheumatoid arthritis vaccine. She has also contributed major insights into how the microbiome is involved in causing Spondyloarthropathy leading to the development of disease biomarkers and therapeutic strategies. Ranjeny is founder and a director of the spin-off company, Dendright, which is developing Immunotherapy for Autoimmune diseases.
